February Viking Club meets on the 17th, and we’re making a an UNDER-MACHINE CADDY for your sewing tools.  This caddy is so handy — all of us who have made one use it all the time.

Supplies:
½ yard fabric, preferably a slightly heavier weight or decorator weight
Optional 1/2 yard fusible interfacing if fabric is very light weight
1/4 yard Fast-2-Fuse
4″ Velcro, ¾” wide
½ yard optional rickrack or trim

In January Viking Club we will be getting our sewing lives better organized!  We’re making a NOTEBOOK COVER WITH POCKETS where we can keep all our sewing “document.  We will learn how to  put in an invisible zipper and how to define an area with perfectly sewn piping.

SUPPLIES:

Ring binder notebook — get a nice big one, and be sure the covers will bend backwards so you can get the cover on
½ yard fabric for notebook cover
½ yard fusible fleece
Fabric about 11” X 11” for pocket — this could be a contrasting fabric, a printed panel, or an  embroidery 
Fusible interfacing for pocket
One package piping and/or an invisible zipper at least 12” long
Thread to match cover and pocket
¼” Steam-a-Seam
