“SEWING ADVENTURE”
WITH CHRIS DOLINAR

She’s back!  We begged and plotted and really scored!  Chris is one of the most in-demand of the talented Viking Educators  (you’ve probably seen her on TV) — so we got lucky!
Chris will have something creative and useful for sewers of ANY interest and with ANY machine.  She will have a very heavy suitcase full of samples of clothing, home dec, quilting, embroidery, and felting projects to show us.  And did we mention she’s smart and funny and really good at all aspects of our sport?  This will be a whole-day adventure including lunch.
Chris has been here before, so many of us know how entertaining and inspiring she is.  We’ll have a lot of fun and fill our brains to overflowing with new ideas!  $50 includes lunch.
Saturday, September 20, 10:30-5pm

 NORTH AMERICAN MYSTERY SERIES

Travel along with one of our Ambassadors each month  to a North American state or country and learn about its history, quilting traditions, food and recipes.  We’ll have a party at each stop and a kit for a quilt with local flavor, in your choice of three colorways.  The quilts are all “throw” size (make them larger if you want, or buy one of each color) and are easy enough for seasoned beginners to make. The Ambassador will give a demo on making the quilt.  What’s mysterious?  You won’t know what the quilt looks like till the unveiling at the party!
Your ticket for each trip is $20 plus your kit for $35.  Or you can buy a “season pass” for $50.  Reservations are recommended, as space is limited.   Our talented Ambassadors Desha Bone Bierbaum, Sara Jaramillo, Julie Schuller-Brown, Robin Dillon Zupancic and Myra Tobias, are making quilts and taste-testing recipes now!
North American Mystery parties happen right after Saturday Sampler at 11:00am, beginning October 4.  The other months will be November, and January, February, and March of 2009.  And maybe more!
